Wow, I thought I was going through a kinda confusing and complicated time!
One thing though, guys do the weirdest things at the weirdest times for...crazy reasons. But I guess from a girls point of view thats hardly acceptable.
Sometimes stepping back and looking at the bigger picture helps (Its damn hard to do that, but trust me - on the rare occasions that I took my advice, it really helped).
In a way everything comes down to being happy with someone that you love, or just being happy about yourself. I really hope u find what ur looking for [OutedForGood]

naww cause me an the cousin texted eachother from ma ex's phone once..and he said 2 me.."yea so i heard yall went out" buh that didnt stop him..i think that after we hung out a while an went upstairs ma ex mighta seen how good we were gettin along an he might have said oh back off man i want her back or somethin..BASTARD! speakin of him**my ex** we just got in the illestt fight 2day haha[sodapop4]

No, its not an unspoken rule. You should be allowed to be friends with an ex. Especially if it ended amicably. And then there are case where you have a child with an ex and kinda have to talk to him. If your guy is jealous of you talking to an ex then he has low self esteem and that's not your problem. You shouldn't have to be an icy bitch to an ex just to please your man. You never know, maybe that ex is good for connects. Don't burn your bridges.....[tiredofbeingfat70]

Its kind of an unspoken rule that you don't talk to your exs period when you start dating some one else. Some people don't mind if you do, but obviously he did. Next time don't waste time on anyone else..just the person you are with.[caffeinefree]
